This was only the fourth episode we recorded, before Disney+ changed the order on us. We’re excited to finally share to with you! But we also think, like Fozzie, our act has gotten better over time, so please be gentle with us. Fortunately this is a pretty great Muppet Show episode in this stretch of season one we’ve been not-so-hot on. Perky is kind of Sandy Duncan’s whole brand, and she absolutely earns that here, and, well, makes us feel good all over. She’s a nice girl who absolutely belongs in a place like The Muppet Show and we’re thrilled to have her, along with our guest David Beukema! Yaaaaaaay!

With Our Very Special Guest Star, David Beukema!

David Beukema is a professional actor from Minneapolis, MN...at least he was in non-Covid times. He has worked in theaters across the country and his last role before the pandemic was as The D'Ysquith Family in A Gentleman's Guide To Love and Murder. A lifelong Muppet fan, he is also obsessed with musical theater, the Great American Songbook, and birds. He watched 14 episodes of The Muppet Show the day they were released on Disney+.

The content of this interview is interesting but the dress is also amazing.

This isn’t really relevant (except the whole Disney+ thing we guess) but it is BONKERS.

Bootlegs aren’t allowed and we don’t condone them, especially the one of us who works for the actors’ union and the one of us who used to be a member of said union.

Disney Through the Decades on Disney+, in case you, too, want to watch the classics in chronological order and see them get less racist (maybe??) over time.

Probably not the banana sketch, but a banana sketch.
